Joyce Meyer: You Are Never Alone

Grief & loneliness are major problems facing people today. The two often go together because many Christians & unbelievers grieve over being lonely. In my ministry, an increasing number of people request prayer for loneliness.

God's Word tells us plainly that we are not alone. He wants to deliver, comfort & heal us. But when you encounter painful losses in your life, you can lose sight of this simple truth.

Satan wants you to believe you are alone. He wants you to believe you that no one understands how you feel, but his claims are false. In addiction to God being with you, many believers understand what you are experiencing mentally & emotionally.

You are not alone now nor will you ever be, no matter what confronts you.

You may not understand much when you are hurting & the pain of loss is ripping through your soul, but know & hold on to this one truth: God loves you, & He has a future for you. Hope in Him & trust Him to turn your mourning into joy (see Isaiah 6:1 1-3).

A Fat Burning Snack: Peanut Butter Oat Balls

So I was watching the Dr. OZ show many weeks ago, & he was discussing foods & recipes that helps burn fat. This particular segement it was problem areas (tummy & thighs, etc). So I took notes. A very simple & tasty recipe that you can incorporate as a snack or dessert. So check out the photos, recipe & other info below...
What I used:
-Quaker oats
-Vannilla extract

I mixed the peanut butter & vanilla extract together
A handful of oats (Which made 4 balls)

Joyce Meyer: Appreciate Honesty from Other People

Everyone loves compliments, but very few know how to handle constructive criticism. No one likes to be wrong, which makes it hard when people are uncomfortably honest with us.

But we need to be thankful for honesty in other people. I once heard someone say, "Only two people will tell you the truth about yourself" someone who is angry with you & someone who loves you very much." God uses both types in our lives, but He especially uses the honesty of friends & loved ones.

When someone can, in love, honesty show you how you can improve, the results will be so much more valuable than empty, ego-stroking compliments. It's this kind of relationship that the Bible describes as 'iron sharpening iron.'

I urge you to be thankful for people who tell you the truth about yourself, even if it's not what you want to hear.

When you hear the truth, especially something you weren't aware of, you can change. Ultimately, their honesty will make you a better person.

Joyce Meyer: Notice the Little Things...

One day as I was going into an office building, a man standing nearby opened the door for me. I thanked him & smiled. "You're the fifth person I've held the door for," he said, "and you're the first one to smile & the second to thank me."

I thanked him a second time, with a smile on my face. Afterward, I thought how much we take others for granted, even in simple things, such as opening a door for a stranger.

We often commend people when they do big things for us, but how often do we appreciate the little things?

When a person does something nice for you & you thank them, it builds them up & encourages them. It means a lot to them, just like it did to the man at the office building.

Did your bus arrive on time today? If so, did you thank the driver? The last time you ate at a restaurant, did you thank the waiter for filling your coffee cup a second time without being asked? This i the point I want to make: Develop an attitude of gratitude toward the people in your life.

Joyce Meyer: Learn To Wait...

People often ask me, 'How can I know for sure whether I'm hearing from God or just making things up?'

I believe the answer is to learn to wait. With big decisions, we often feel the need to hurry. We must do something & do it right now! But godly wisdom tells us to wait until we have a clear picture of what we are to do & when we are to do it.

We all need to develop the capacity to take a step back & view every situation from God's perspective. Only then can we make decisions the way He wants us to.

Strength, is found in waiting. When you wait upon the Lord, you can sense in your spirit what the Lord actually wants you to do, not what you think He wants you to do.

When you are faced with any difficult decision, it wise to wait until you have a clear answer before taking a step you may regret. It might feel uncomfortable & you may want to hurry, but don't allow that pressure to take precedence over the wisdom & knowledge of God.

Joyce Meyer: God Isn't Glorified Through Our Suffering

Many Christians live under the false idea that God wants them to suffer, This creates a nonstop victim mentality.

Suffering is inevitable, but God is not glorified through our suffering. He is glorified when we have a good attitude during our suffering - and He wants us to be victorious!

So why would we choose to remain bitter, angry & wounded or depressed?

There's one surefire way to overcome suffering with the right attitude: Set your mind, & keep it set, on things above, not on things of the earth. You must be armed with right thinking, or you will give up during hard times.

Set your mind & be fully aware that moving from being a victim to being a victor will not be a quick process. It will take time, but your experience will make you stronger & enable you to help others who are facing similar battles.

Get excited about your future & realize that going through something with God means that you will come out on the other side with a victory that cannot be taken away from you.

Yes, yes, & yes Joyce! Preach!!!

Joyce Meyer: Sickness Isn't Only Physical!

The Bible teaches that Jesus came to heal our wounds, to bind up & heal our broken hearts, & to give us beauty instead of ashes & the oil of joy instead of mourning (See Isaiah 61: 1-3).

Many Christians read this scripture & know that God wants to heal us from physical & spiritual sickness, but there's more to it than that. The truth is that our emotions are part of our makeup & they can become sick like any other part of us.

The world today is full of people who are suffering from emotional pain. The causes is often abuse, rejection, abandonment, betrayal, disappointment, judgement, criticism or other negative behavior by others. This emotional pain can be more devastating than physical pain because people feel that they have to hide it & pretend it isn't real.

If you have an emotional wound in your life, you need to know that Jesus wants to heal you. Don't make the mistake of thinking He is interested only in your spiritual & physical life. Take your wounds to Him. Jesus wants to heal you everywhere you hurt!

Joyce Meyer: Love Everyone Differently

The Bible says that we are fearfully & wonderfully made. God spent time & exercised His creativity with each of us, so it would stand to reason that He didn't create us all exactly the same, wouldn't it?

Unfortunately, we Christians sometimes try to love others as if they are all the same.

You'll find that not all people need the same thing from you. One of your children, for example, may need more of your personal time than another does. One friend may need more encouragement on a regular basis than another. Some people just need different forms of love.

Respecting individual rights is also very important. Selfish people expect everyone to be like they are, but love respects the difference in people. If God had wanted all of us to be alike, He would not have given each of us a different set of fingerprints. I believe that fact alone proves we are created equal but different.

We all have different gifts & talents, different likes & dislikes, different goals in life & different motivations. A loving person respects & encourages the differences in others.

MAN! This reading plan really hit home for me....
When you think you're self-less something is REALLY masking your selfishness

Working On My Fitness: Top High Fiber & Fat Burning Foods...

I mean, I owe it to myself. I've had my share of times...days...years! Where all I ate (or had to eat) was junk food, things that made me sluggish & made me gain those freshmen 15 (or 15+ lbs my college career).
Although when our new gym was built I was in there more than I attended parties my last two years of college..

I'm super serious about eating healthier. I can't & won't say I'll eat healthy ALL the time. That's pushing it. But with change, things take time. So anyways...I came across these tips & useful information on Instagram.

Thought I shared it here & have it as a bookmark for myself later down the line.
Knows of any healthy delicious meals I should try out?

A Support System...Share Your Story

I miss having a strong support system...
People that actually care
Want to see you succeed
Want the best for you

TRULY love you...

A lot of people don't reciprocate what I do for them in return
Luckily I study the word.
He made ME this way
I will not change because something is NOT being given back in return
I refuse to be selfish
I have my moments
But overall, that's not me...
I'm definitely putting it out there in the universe...praying on it.
God deliver the type of people I can learn something with.
Can correct me & share their wisdom.
That keep YOU first in their lives
Has had trials & tribulations...
REAL...

Many are afraid to own up to real life situations..
Being cheated on
Dropping out of school
Having a degree & stuck at home with parents
Suffering from depression
Not living their purpose
Struggling

This is not to say be happy or excited about these things
But be HONEST...OPEN
Why feel sorry?
Share your story!
You may inspire & uplift someone in the midst of your storm
What's your story?

I Can Make My OWN Smoothies...thank you

So lately I've been more in tune with what I've been eating. I'll share more about that in another post. But lately I've been in the kitchen (morning & before bed) making smoothies. Very simple & delish smoothies. They are way better than the ones you get at the juice stores (In my opinion). I hate the fact that you can taste the fruit (chunks). Eww the texture makes me gag. lol
So no more buying my juices from juice it up & places like that...
Plus mine is cheaper
Also, I can't eat all of the wonderful fruits out there (allergic)
Anyways...what I use & how I make it is simple.
-1 pack of this smoothie mix (Walmart)
-Milk
-Bananas
-Ice
Then use my blender & blend away...for awhile
Bam! A party in my mouth. Great snack/breakfast for me.
I'm trying to incorporate healthier foods in my diet

I use a half a pack of the smoothie mix, & half of a Banana for the morning & the other half at night.
I'll probably up my Banana intake ( a whole instead) once I go back to work...
But it just depends if the Banana doesn't make my throat scratchy :-/
Any tasty, simply smoothie recipes that you use?
