RIP To Many Relationships

I titled this "RIP To Many Relationships" because this is what I dedicate it to....relationships
"If God gave it to you, you don't have to cry...". Amen to that sistah.
I remember when I asked God to show me signs and he did, but I went back to see if it would work & it didn't and in the ending I was left with nothing. I'm teaching myself to be obedient, because I am hard headed at times, and I just need to what? Let go, & let God.
I'm a work in progress...what can I say?

"I figured what I was praying for & fighting for just wasn't for me anymore".

Canceling The Pity Party: BronzeGoddess01

I just recently subscribed to her channel on Youtube and I am so happy that someone recommended it to me. She speaks the truth.
As I've been going through different things, I've been taking time to get to know myself, and get closer to God. And it's funny, she speaks on things I stopped doing.
What is feeling sorry for yourself going to do? I'm in the way of my blessings. God is waiting on me to stop the foolishness and tighten up my faith & trust in him.
I know that's it because I feel it! I'm not perfect, and I never claimed to be, so I admit when I'm wrong and try not to make that same mistake again.

Positive Affirmation Challenge

I've decided late last night (Tuesday) that once a week I'm going to focus on repeating something positive about myself many times throughout the day or when I think about it. For example "I'm a loving person". It's almost in relations to the whole "Practice makes perfect", but instead if you repeat positive things about yourself.

When you repeat whatever it is you're trying to enforce, it makes you think about it. You have to believe in YOU to allow this to work.

As I'm going through different things, I find that this could be helpful. So this week I'm focusing on one thing, then I'll switch it up next Tuesday. It'll be helpful to write down whatever it is you're focusing on.

This not only allows you to learn about yourself, but love yourself for who you are and not for who you may portray, or would like to be.

Be Gentle

You never know what someone maybe going through. We as people tend to judge when we  know that's not our job. Or don't know what someone maybe going through. We don't have to walk on egg shells to please someone, but be kind.

Being gentle can mean being more understanding, open, and loving.
Selfless is the way to go. But can you get there?

Thank God

I'm glad I've chosen to take a break from quit a few things. With everything that's going on and has been going on it's much needed. Life can get you down and contemplating things. I know from all of this, I thank God for showing me the signs and not being blinded by what I've been faced with.

"Life lessons. Lessons learned"-Ashley N.

I live by this quote because it's so true. Life allows you to learn from different things in life. It seems like when you're down...you're down. At times I feel like I can't catch a break. I just pray that everything I'm going through has a purpose and I can look back on it (as I do many situations) and say it was worth it all.

Wait, I mean I know God has a purpose for this all. It's a test. A test of my love, strength, patience, and faith.

Lent...

Today is the official day that Lent starts. It is said you can start whenever, but I feel comfortable starting the day of. I've been contemplating on participating because this is said to be more of a Catholic tradition than Christian. I did my research and it seems as if Christians do it as well.

Anyways, there is a purpose for me doing this and it's to get closer to God. So I have chosen this challenge. A few things I have given up are:

Social network sites, & worrying. And in place of those things I'm reading my bible more & praying throughout this process, and giving more attention towards my up&coming mentoring program/nonprofit.

I wasn't going to share this because fasting is something that is suppose to be kept between you & God. But maybe by me sharing this will give someone an insight of this.

I plan to go for the full 40 days. I pray that I make it till then.

Day 17 - your high and lows of this year

I would have to say for one, this economy is totally getting the best of me. I recently graduated from college & have yet to land a job. It's VERY disappointing, stressful, & depressing. Stupid BUSH! All his fault. Now people are upset with Obama, spare me please!

High, reconnecting with a special person. It's been lovely.

Low, dealing with different things that have occurred in my life. I'm maintaining now & I can't complain.

High, & probably my highest of this year thus far. Is seeing another year & celebrating my birthday last month :)

Homemade Deep Conditioner [1]

I've been meaning to document the deep conditioner I made a week or so ago, but I've been busy.

As I'm getting to know my natural hair, trying different products that work for me, I've been experimenting with a few items around my house. This could be good & bad.

The items that I used were:
1.EVOO
2. Honey
3. Garneir Fructis conditioner
4. Aphogee Balancing Moisturizer
5. Blended Aloe Vera (took the actual plan, used the inside *clear part* & blended it with a little water in the blender)

I added the Aphogee because the right amount of PH is needed for our hair. I didn't measure it in anyway.
I used a fork to mix all of the ingredients in a small bowl, then placed the mix in a old honey bottle I use for other homemade conditioners I make.

I like it. It actually helped my hair out. It was looking messy & unhealthy before.

Next, I'm going to try something similar to what KimmayTube does for her leave in conditioner. I don't have all of the items, so I will be substituting. You can check out her Youtube on how to make her leave in.
