Working On My Fitness: Top High Fiber & Fat Burning Foods...
I mean, I owe it to myself. I've had my share of times...days...years! Where all I ate (or had to eat) was junk food, things that made me sluggish & made me gain those freshmen 15 (or 15+ lbs my college career).
Although when our new gym was built I was in there more than I attended parties my last two years of college..
I'm super serious about eating healthier. I can't & won't say I'll eat healthy ALL the time. That's pushing it. But with change, things take time. So anyways...I came across these tips & useful information on Instagram.
Thought I shared it here & have it as a bookmark for myself later down the line.
Knows of any healthy delicious meals I should try out?

Work Out Update: Operation Get BACK In Shape!
Yesssss, I'm back. I thought I update my blog discussing my journey. I've been keeping track in my journal for when I work out & what I eat the days I work out, & also for how long etc.
So far I've lost 6lbs, but I'm sure I've gained that back because I stopped working out for 2wks. Week 1 I was lazy, the 2nd week the cycle came, so0o0o0 yea ladies you know during that time you don't feel like doing much. Especially if you get major cramps like myself.
Anyways,
I started this journey Jan. 2nd, and I've been weighing in once a month. The first month I weighed myself twice. So now, I plan on weighing in on the 25th of each month. It gives me time to lose some of the uncontrollable water body weight & go HARD!
Like I said, I've loss 6lbs, and plan on losing more.
Changes: I've cut back on some of the fatty foods...keyword cut back. You don't necessarily have to take away your favorite foods, portions and moderation is key.
-I've been eating Subway a lot more. That means less of other foods I was eating. Eating more veggies, a tad bit more water. I've always drank water. & also taking my vitamins (B12 & MultiVites gummies)! Those have been helpful.
Work out plan: I've been running for 20+ minutes nonstop on the days I don't work out with Jillian. I rather do something then nothing at all. I do feel/see the results when using Jillians DVD. I'm also trying to up my time when running. Monday (yesterday) I ran for 20mins, today as you can see the time/picture above, I ran for 25mins.
It's better to start off slow, and not psych yourself out or set yourself up for failure.
That's about it!
Although I've had setbacks, I don't allow that to stop me. This is not some popular resolution for me, it's a goal leading into a healthier lifestyle.

HI....BYE!
Yup, this will be quick. I'm doing more than one thing at once right now, plus I need to prepare for a conference call. But any who
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!
We made it another year. If anything, I'm thankful for that.
I'll be starting a clear skin challenge on my beauty blog
Working out again... 30 day Shred
And I was thinking about doing another hair challenge as well. I think that'll be too much right now though.
I may just wait till summer time when I'll need the most TLC for my natural hair.
I do plan on going on a fast. I did this the beginning mid-2011
I feel so cluttered & a bit overwhelmed about up coming projects & decisions.
All in all, I'll be praying about it.
Speaking of prayer, I need to buy a new journal.
I usually use it to write down my thoughts of course, prayers, and things of that nature.
I'm going to try my best to get back to blogging over here.
With work & trying to maintain a somewhat healthy life, it gets hard.

5 Things-That Got Me Through The Week!
So the lovely Kimberly over at Femmes With Benefits[FWB] did a post on 7 things that got her through the week...
I'll be sharing 5 things that got me through the week....
1. God) There was some unnecessary drama I got sucked into via Facebook 0_o "Where they do that at?" It was so childish. How an innocent comment went south. Lol. I can laugh about it now, because at the time I was really upset just how it ALL played out. God got me through it & a few close friends. But I owe it to Him because he has allowed me to move on from the situation. It takes a lot for me to move from certain things..whether it was a touchy, sensitive, angry subject.
2. Medicine) Omg, I think my kids at work got me sick this week. I seen it ALL playing out in my head Monday when one of the kids at my job kept sneezing, then one girl who had been absent because she was sick, was coughing. I had to remind them to cover there mouths. And chileeeee. My allergies started acting up, The next day I got a sore throat, and now I'm coughing. All it takes is for me to have one thing wrong (earache, sore throat, allergies) before everything in my body goes CRAZY & triggers my Asthma....man "That sh*t cray" ::in my Kanye West voice:: lol
3. Packages) I've been waiting on 4 different packages that I either won from giveaways ( weeks, months ago) & a order I made on the E.L.F. website during their Labor Day free shipping deal. I'll be talking about that stuff on my beauty website www.glamnolabelz.com
4. Candy) Chileeeee, I'm on this protein diet (If you haven't read about it, check it out HERE) & I didn't know how hard this mess would be. But, I can say that it has been a great challenge. I'll be posting my views on it later. And I know candy isn't any better because of ALL the sugar we consume...
5. Music) Other than God, who is first before anything else. Music really truly gets me through a lot. I mean..it's universal and we can all relate to it in some sort of way. I had to play a few Kanye, Jay Z, Rihanna & The Weeknd's songs to get me going or through this week.
Sigh, very fun post! Be my guest on posting your 5 things that got you through the week. This was fun. I may do this every so often. My life isn't that eventful so making it a routine wouldn't work lol...

Working On Your Fitness?
Hey familyyyy. I've been meaning to post this a few months ago when I was working on my fitness REAL tough. I got this from a message board I was apart of.
BEST TIME TO.....
Weigh Yourself: 6:30am or when you wake up in the morning. Thats when you are lighter.
-Exercise: After you weigh yourself
-Eat Breakfast: 7:30am or within an hour of waking up
-Eat Lunch: 12 noon or 4 hours after you eat breakfast
-Eat Dinner: 6:30 pm or no LESS than 3 hours before going to bed
-Boost Metabolism: 8am. Drink a glass of ICE COLD WATER. It forces you to burn calories to warm the water up in your body
Grocery Shopping: 10am. You're still full from breakfast and blood sugar levels are stable
Take Fiber Supplement: 6:15pm. Before you eat dinner
